Pedestrian Killed in Selma Crash Near Rose and Bethel Avenues
SELMA, CA (August 18, 2022) – A pedestrian was killed after a crash near Rose and Bethel avenues in Selma.
According to the FOX 26 News and Your Central Valley, the tragic accident took place on Thursday night. Officers reported the collision at around 9:50 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason near Selma in Fresno County. The driver hit him in the 11000 block of Rose Avenue near Bethel Avenue.
Man Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived and found the man down on the ground. He sustained serious injuries as a result of the incident.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead at the scene. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police added that the driver stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the man. Officers forced the area of Rose and Bethel avenues to shut down for a time following the accident.
The cause of the fatal Fresno pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
