Semi-Truck Slams into Car on Highway 99
BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. (Jan. 26, 2024) – One person was injured Tuesday when a semi-truck crashed into the back of their Tuesday morning on Highway 99 at Nelson Shippee Road in Butte County.
The crash was reported around 10:30 a.m. on Highway 99 at Nelson Shippee Road, south of Highway 149, according to a report by Action News Now.
Police reported the car had stopped and was waiting to make a left-hand turn onto Nelson Shippee Road when the semi-truck driver hit the back of the vehicle. Apparently, the truck driver didn’t see the car until it was too late.
Paramedics responded and rushed the injured person to a hospital due to a back injury from the collision.
Police are working to determine liability for the Highway 99 accident in Butte County.
