Driver Injured in Crash Involving Truck in Calipatria
IMPERIAL COUNTY, Calif. (Nov. 11, 2024) — One person was injured in a crash involving a car and semi-truck Monday on Highway 111 at Yocum Road in Calipatria, a city in Imperial County.
The two-vehicle crash occurred around 6:41 a.m. on Nov. 11th, according to the California Highway Patrol report.
CHP officials reported a white Honda Insight and a big rig truck were involved, but it’s unknown what led up to the traffic accident.
Paramedics responded and transported the driver from the Honda to a hospital due to a back injury from the collision.
A tow truck removed the Honda from the intersection and investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on Highway 111 in Calipatria.
