Truck Loaded with Crushed Cars Overturns on 57 Freeway
ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. (April 4, 2025) — A semi-truck carrying crushed vehicles overturned in a collision with a car Friday on the south Orange 57 Freeway near the eastbound Riverside 91 Freeway in Anaheim.
The collision, between a silver Toyota Camry and the big rig, occurred around 9:35 a.m. on April 4th, according to the California Highway Patrol. Only the HOV and No. 1 lanes were not blocked by the vehicles.
The truck overturned onto its side in the slow lanes and its driver was trapped inside but appeared to be unharmed. The crushed cars fell out into the roadway and a gray Jeep Grand Cherokee drove over debris and sustained damage.
Paramedics responded to help anyone hurt in the crash, but there were no further details.
Police issued a SigAlert due to multiple lanes blocked by the truck, damaged vehicles, and debris.
Investigators are working to determine liability for the crash on the 57 Freeway in Anaheim.
