Semi-Truck, Pickup Crash on State Route 14 Near Newhall Avenue

Two-Vehicle Truck Accident on the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway

NEWHALL, Calif., (August 4, 2026) — A semi-truck and a pickup truck were involved in a crash Monday night on the northbound State Route 14 near Newhall Avenue.

The incident was reported on August 3rd at approximately 10:52 p.m. in the vicinity of the Newhall onramp to northbound SR-14. Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find that the pickup truck had overturned and gone down an embankment following the collision with the semi-truck.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the pickup truck sustained major rollover damage. The driver of the pickup truck, whose identity has not been released, was reportedly out of the vehicle when first responders arrived. It’s unknown how many were injured or transported to a hospital.

Tow truck services were requested to recover the vehicle from the embankment, requiring a cable of approximately 20 feet.

Several units were dispatched and arrived at the scene shortly after the incident was reported. The onramp was blocked as crews worked to manage the aftermath of the crash.

Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision. They are seeking any witnesses who may have observed the incident to come forward with information.
