Semi-Truck and Toyota Prius Collide on I-505 Freeway
ALLENDALE, Calif. (June 8, 2022) — A semi-truck and Toyota Prius were in a crash Wednesday on the Interstate 505 Freeway near the Allendale Road off ramp.
The two-vehicle collision occurred in the southbound lanes of the I-505 about 11:44 a.m. on June 8th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the semi-truck reportedly rear-ended the silver Toyota Prius due to unknown circumstances. The car suffered major rear-end damage in the crash and its occupant remained trapped in the vehicle.
The car wound up on the right shoulder of the freeway and debris was strewn across the roadway. The semi-truck driver pulled over and stopped.
Meanwhile, someone called 911 to report the crash and called for paramedics.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the Allendale crash on the 505 Freeway.
