Semi-Truck, SUV in Interstate 15 Freeway Crash Near I-10 in Colton

COLTON, Calif. (July 1, 2025) — A traffic collision involving a semi-truck and a BMW SUV on northbound Interstate 15 Freeway at the Interstate 10 interchange resulted in minor injuries Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

The crash was reported just before 10 a.m. on July 1st and involved a white semi and a gray BMW SUV, which was carrying a pregnant driver and children. Both vehicles came to a stop on the right-hand shoulder of the freeway.

Emergency responders from Ontario Fire Department and medical personnel were dispatched to the scene. CHP initially categorized the incident as having unknown injuries, but later updated the classification to a traffic collision with medical response.

At least one person was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton with minor injuries, though it remains unclear whether the pregnant driver or any children required medical treatment.

The BMW SUV was removed from the scene at the owner’s request, and the collision caused only minimal disruption to traffic in the area.

CHP is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash. No citations or arrests were reported at the time of publication.
