Semi-Truck Hits Vehicles on I-5 Freeway at Manthey Road
LATHROP, Calif. (Oct. 19, 2022) — A semi-truck crashed into a Tesla and a pickup truck Wednesday morning on the Interstate 5 Freeway near the Manthey Road off ramp in Lathrop.
The multi-vehicle collision occurred about 6:31 a.m. on Oct. 19th, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The CHP report stated a big rig truck crashed into a blue Tesla and possibly, a maroon pickup truck. The pickup crashed into a guardrail in front of the Tesla at some point during the collision. The crash left debris all over the roadway and left the Tesla undrivable.
Tow trucks came to remove the Tesla and a second vehicle.
Meanwhile, paramedics responded to help those hurt in the crash.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault.
