Pedestrian Dies in Hit-and-Run Collision on West Pacheco Boulevard
Los Banos, CA (October 3, 2022) – Sergio Camacho, a 33-year-old man, suffered fatal injuries following a suspected hit-and-run crash that occurred on West Pacheco Boulevard.
Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Los Banos
On September 9, Friday, police officers received reports about an unresponsive subject lying in the roadway. Emergency crews responded to the 1500 block of West Pacheco Boulevard and found a pedestrian suffering in life-threatening injuries. Medical personnel attempted to revive the victim but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene. The Merced County Sheriff Coroner’s Office identified the fatal victim as Sergio Camacho.
The Merced Sun-Star News reported Camacho was struck by a vehicle. Our sources mentioned the motorist drove away after hitting the pedestrian. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect.
At this time, detectives continue to gather information surrounding the horrible crash that happened in Los Banos.
