Man, 75, Killed in Cash on Oct. 23rd in Vista
VISTA, Calif. (Nov. 14, 2024) — Sergio Castaneda Mendoza, 75, of Vista, died in a pedestrian accident on Oct. 23rd at East Vista Way and Townsite Drive in Vista.
The deadly crash occurred at around 5:10 p.m. last month, according to the San Diego Union Tribune.
The man was walking in a crosswalk when a 2024 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup struck him as he crossed the Vista street, police said.
Unfortunately, the Vista man died following the collision. He was later identified by the San Diego Medical Examiner as Sergio Castaneda Mendoza.
Meanwhile, the woman driving the pickup truck stopped her vehicle and cooperated with authorities and the investigation.
Investigators are asking anyone with information about the Vista pedestrian accident to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 858-565-5200.
