Man Killed in Crash on 5 Freeway Identified
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (May 8, 2023) – Sergio Garcia, 58, died in a two-vehicle crash Saturday night on the Golden State (5) Freeway near Griffith Park.
The crash happened around 8:50 p.m. on Saturday, May 6th in the northbound lanes, just south of Colorado Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol and ABC 7 News.
The drivers of a white car and a black sedan were involved. Paramedics responded to help those hurt in the crash. However, Sergio Garcia, 58, suffered major injuries and died at the scene of the collision, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
Meanwhile, the circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
