Hit-And-Run Crash Victim Identified
NORTHRIDGE, Calif. (May 31, 2023) – Sergio Olivera, 38, of Los Angeles, died in a hit-and-run motorcycle accident on Rosco Boulevard in Northridge.
Police are now searching for the suspect in a BMW who struck the victim and fled the scene around 5:40 p.m. on Saturday, May 27th, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
Police reported the BMW was traveling eastbound on Roscoe Boulevard when its driver turned left at Yolanda Avenue and hit the westbound motorcyclist. The rider went down in the road and suffered fatal injuries at the scene.
Meanwhile, the suspect fled the scene without stopping to help the man.
The Los Angeles County coroner’s office identified the motorcyclist as Sergio Olivera.
Finally, investigators with the LAPD Valley Traffic Division are asking anyone with information about the crash or suspect, to call them at 818-644-8035 or 877-527-3247.
