Seth Lemmons, 24, Injured in Merced County Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 99
MERCED COUNTY, CA (July 20, 2021) – Seth Lemmons was injured after a fatal crash on Highway 99 in Merced County.
The California Highway Patrol identified the 24-year-old Turlock man as the victim of the wreck which took place on Tuesday morning.
The incident happened when Seth Lemmons was riding a 2021 Dodge Ram pickup truck pulling a trailer on southbound Highway 99 in Merced County.
The 25-year-old Manteca man driving the Dodge pulled over safely to the right shoulder to check the trailer hitch. He stood between the trailer and the Ram.
CHP said a 2006 Honda Accord approached and then hit the pickup truck near Collier Road.

Firefighters along with the paramedics at the scene and took him to the Memorial Medical Center in Modesto with major injuries.
Seth Lemmons complained of pain as a result of the Merced County crash. Meanwhile, medical personnel took the motorist in the Honda to a hospital for treatment of minor wounds.
CHP determined that the man driving the Accord was under the influence of alcohol when he struck the other vehicle. They soon arrested him.
The Merced County crash is still under investigation.
