LYNWOOD: Hit-and-run Crash on 710 Freeway near Imperial Highway
LYNWOOD, California — A hit-and-run collision left multiple parties injured on Interstate 710 freeway near Imperial Highway, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
On March 28 shortly before 7:00 p.m., motorists on the freeway noticed a white vehicle swerving in and out the interstate lanes. The reckless driver ended crashing into a big rig, and in an attempt to evade the scene, the man drove off but subsequently struck several other autos.
With a seriously damaged car, the suspect decided to evade on foot. Witnesses saw the man running across traffic lanes, towards the right shoulder of the interstate but unknown where he was headed.
An involved party called the CHP and reported their white Nissan Juke was struck on the freeway. They were left suffering from injuries, their head and ears bleeding from the impact.
Another victim called and mentioned their vehicle was occupied by her grandmother and children, and her grandmother was suffering from high-blood due to the incident.
The CHP briefly described the hit-and-run driver as a Hispanic male adult. He was last seen wearing a plaid shirt, and black pants.
