Suspected Hit-and-Run Driver ID’d as Jose De Jesus Godoy Guitron, Sought
SHAFTER, California (August 16, 2016) – A pedestrian woman identified as Guadalupe Govea, 45, was killed in a hit-and-run collision Sunday on Shafter Avenue, according to ABC 23 News.
As per the article, Shafter police said Guadalupe Govea was struck by an unknown vehicle along South Shafter Avenue.
She was immediately transported to Kern Medical where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver involved did not stop to render assistance and took off the scene. Police have identified suspected motorist as Jose De Jesus Godoy Guitron.
The alleged hit-and-run driver is reportedly wanted for vehicular manslaughter. Anyone with information about Jose De Jesus Godoy Guitron is asked to contact the Shafter Police Department at 661-746-8500.
