Shane Lowe, 59, Killed in Orange Crash at Tustin Street and Taft Avenue
ORANGE, CA (May 21, 2022) – Shane Lowe was killed after a DUI crash at Tustin Street and Taft Avenue in Orange.
The coroner’s office identified the 59-year-old Newport Beach man as the victim of the fatal wreck which took place on Friday night.
The incident happened when Shane Lowe stopped his Porsche at Taft Avenue, preparing to turn south on Tustin Street in Orange. At the same time, a Kia Sol was going north on Tustin.
DUI Driver Runs Red Light, Hits Another Car
Police said the Kia ran a red light in the intersection and then slammed into the Porsche. Shane Lowe died at the scene of the crash.
The Orange County Register and My News LA, wrote that the accident occurred on May 20 at around 10:29 p.m. The man driving the Kia sustained severe injuries as a result of the collision.
Paramedics rushed him to a hospital and listed him in critical condition. Meanwhile, police believed that the driver who ran a red light was under the influence of drugs when he hit the victim.
