Woman, Man Killed in Oceanside Pedestrian Accident
OCEANSIDE, Calif. (November 3o, 2022) – Shannon Marie Breer, 53, of Oceanside, is one of two pedestrians killed in a car accident Thursday night on Oceanside Boulevard, according to the San Diego Medical Examiner and FOX5 News.
The other victim is identified as Harold David Ray, 55, of Oceanside, according to the San Diego Medical Examiner.
The man and woman were reportedly crossing in the 1800 block of Oceanside Boulevard when a passing motorist hit both of them in the middle of the roadway about 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 24th, the report said.
The driver of the Toyota SUV was traveling eastbound at the time of the collision. They stopped and called 9-1-1 for help. However, the Oceanside woman was struck again by another driver while down in the roadway. An eastbound Ford sedan swerved to avoid hitting the SUV and ran her over.
Paramedics responded, but sadly both of the pedestrians suffered blunt force trauma and died at the scene.
There were no other injuries from the collision.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the pedestrian accident on Oceanside Boulevard.
