Shannon Rysak, 28, ID’d as Suspect in Sonora DUI Crash at Washington and Stockton
SONORA, CA (October 7, 2022) – Authorities detained Shannon Rysak after a DUI crash that left three people injured in Sonora.
Police determined that the 28-year-old woman was under the influence of alcohol when the collision took place.
The incident began when police responded to a possible DUI driver, Shannon Rysak, on South Washington Street at Restano Way in Sonora.
After some time, the suspect slammed into another vehicle at the intersection of South Washington Street and West Stockton Street. My Mother Lode published a report about the accident on Friday afternoon.
3 Injured in Wreck
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found the other motorist, and the two passengers in one car, hurt. All three victims complained of neck, back and arm pains as a result of the incident.
Medical personnel rushed the patients to the Adventists Health Sonora for further aid. Meanwhile, Shannon Rysak ended up unharmed following the crash.
The names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time were not released. Police arrested Shannon Rysak for felony DUI causing bodily injury with an alcohol level over .08.
They soon took her into custody in lieu of a $25,000 bail. Officers forced the corner of Washington and Stockton streets to close after the incident. The Sonora DUI crash is still under investigation.
