Pedestrian Killed in Hyde Park Crash
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (February 26, 2022) – Shannon Sloan, 33, died in a pedestrian accident Saturday at Slauson Avenue and Alviso Avenue in Hyde Park.
A vehicle struck the woman about 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26th at the Hyde Park intersection, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Shannon Sloan died soon afterwards at the scene from blunt force trauma, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office.
It’s unknown at this time what led up to the deadly pedestrian accident.
A driver reportedly struck the woman at Slauson Avenue and Alviso Avenue and stopped following the crash, according to an article published by My News LA.
Firefighters and paramedics responded and located the victim lying on the ground. She died due to major injuries before they could transport her to a hospital.
Police officers closed down the intersection at Slauson and Alviso avenues following the incident.
Finally, the cause of the fatal Hyde Park pedestrian crash is under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Division.
