Shareece Jones Killed in Victorville Pedestrian Accident Reno Loop Road

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (May 30, 2025) — Shareece S. Jones, 49, of Victorville, was struck and killed by a suspected DUI driver Tuesday on Reno Loop Road in the Brentwood Park area of Victorville.

The tragic pedestrian accident occurred around 8:57 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in this residential area near Reno Loop Road and Sorrel Way.

Emergency responders from the Victorville Police Station, Victorville Fire Department, and American Medical Response were on scene to help the victim and investigate the traffic accident.

The driver of a gold Chevrolet Suburban SUV hit the woman in the roadway and she suffered major injuries and later died at a hospital.

The motorist, George Batiste Thenarse, 50, of Barstow, was arrested after police suspect he was driving under the influence of alcohol and or drugs, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

Meanwhile, the Victorville Major Accident Investigation Team is handling the investigation and they closed down Reno Loop Road in both directions for roughly four hours.
