Kieth Silva, 42, Victim in Willows Rollover Crash on Highway 162
WILLOWS (March 6, 2020) – Authorities detained the alleged DUI driver in a crash that injured another motorist along Highway 162 on Wednesday afternoon.
California Highway Patrol determined that 53-year-old Sharon Pelagio was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs when the accident occurred.
The incident happened on March 4 when Pelagio was driving a Chevy sedan east on Highway 162, just west of County Road FF.

According to an article published by Action News Now, officers said at the same time 42-year-old Kieth Silva was driving a Ford pickup truck west.
Pelagio then allegedly made an unsafe turn and swerved into into the opposing lane. The Chico woman went directly into the path of the pickup believed to be a state vehicle for the CDC.
The truck flipped over while the Chevy struck a pole on the north side of the road. The impact wounded Silva, a resident of Sparks, Nevada.
Paramedics responded to the scene and transported both Silva and Pelagio to local hospitals with unspecified injuries. Meanwhile, authorities ultimately arrested Pelagio for suspicion of DUI.
