2 Riders Injured in Traffic Collision on Iron Mountain Road Wednesday
Shasta County, CA (April 7, 2021) – A road crash involving a motorcycle rider occurred Wednesday night on Iron Mountain Road, the KRCRTV News reported.
Preliminary investigation revealed a motorcyclist and their passenger were heading north on Iron Mountain Road in Shasta County. When the riders approached the area near Keswick Dam Road, the motorbike clipped the back a Recreational Vehicle. Officials said the RV made a left-hand turn ahead of the motorcyclists, leading to the collision.
Major Injury Motorcycle Accident in Shasta County, April 7
Shortly after 7:20 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the site and checked the conditions of all parties involved. According to the article published online, both the operator and passenger of the motorcycle suffered major injuries. The names of the victims remained unknown at this time.
Police temporarily closed Iron Mountain Road to give way to the investigation process. Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to work to determine exactly how and why the motorcycle crash in Shasta County happened.
