1 Injured in Shasta Lake Crash on Interstate 5 and Old Oregon Trail
SHASTA LAKE, CA (January 12, 2022) – A car crash injured at least one person on the Interstate 5 and Old Oregon Trail in Shasta Lake.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Wednesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 12:20 p.m.
CHP said two pickup trucks collided for an unknown reason in Shasta Lake. The two cars crashed on Old Oregon Trail at the northbound Interstate 5 off-ramp.
2 Cars Collide
The incident log added that both vehicles obtained major front-end damage upon impact. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found one individual who ended up hurt as a result of the collision. They possibly took the patient to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Old Oregon Trail and the Interstate 5 to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Shasta Lake crash is still under investigation.
