Pedestrian Killed in Collision, Left in La Quinta Inn Parking Lot
Fresno, CA (May 15, 2022) – Police arrested 38-year-old Shawn Ginder in relation with a deadly pedestrian accident early Friday morning in Fresno.
According to Your Central Valley News, Ginder struck a female party at the intersection of Herndon and Milburn avenues. Earlier reports indicated the Chevy Silverado continued driving following the collision.
The article published online mentioned the victim ended up trapped underneath the pickup truck. Officials believed Ginder dragged the woman for approximately eight miles.
When the motorist approached the La Quinta Inn on Cornelia Avenue, Ginder drove into the parking lot and apparently attempted to get a rom. Authorities said the body of the victim fell from under the vehicle while in the parking lot.
An unidentified person discovered the body at about 2 a.m. When emergency crews arrived, they found partial remains of the dead woman.
Hit-and-Run Suspect Arrested After Deadly Pedestrian Accident in Fresno
Several law enforcement agencies collaborated to identify and locate the hit-and-run suspect. Police eventually arrested Shawn Ginder in Madera County after his vehicle was spotted.
Further investigation on the case is underway.
