Pedestrian Hit by Car in Long Beach
LONG BEACH, Calif. (Oct. 14, 2022) – Shawn Mayberry, 45, of Hemet, died in a Long Beach pedestrian accident Tuesday at Studebaker Road and Spring Street.
The collision occurred about 11:55 p.m. on Oct. 11th, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
A driver in a 2007 Honda Civic struck the Riverside County man as he allegedly lay in the roadway, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
It’s unknown what the circumstances were leading up to the incident.
Shawn Mayberry suffered major injuries and died at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver involved stopped and cooperated with authorities and the investigation.
Police do not suspect speed, distracted driving or DUI are factors in the crash.
