Fatal Hit-and-Run Collision at Pico Boulevard and Wilton Place
Los Angeles, CA (July 4, 2022) – ShawnKel Washington, a 27-year-old woman, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred early Saturday at the intersection of Pico Boulevard and Wilton Place.
Vehicle Strikes, Kills Pedestrian in Los Angeles
The KRON News reported a Washington was walking inside of a crosswalk in Arlington Heights. For reasons still unclear, an oncoming motorist failed to slow down and struck the woman. The collision resulted in serious injuries to the pedestrian. Despite life-saving measures, the woman sadly succumbed to her injuries and passed away. Family members identified the deceased as ShawnKel Washington, a waitress.
According to the article published online, Washington was wearing white clothes when the crash happened. The motorist apparently fled the scene after hitting the woman.
Investigators continue to gather several information to identify and locate the hit-and-run suspect. Detectives continue to work to determine several unclear factors surrounding the horrible crash in Arlington Heights.
