88-Year-Old Man Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash is Identified
SIGNAL HILL, Calif. (July 16, 2024) – Sheldon Turchin, 88, and a woman in her 70s, both died in a Signal Hill crash on Cherry Avenue in the Signal Hill area.
A third person was injured in the two-vehicle car accident at around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 14th in the 2800 block of Cherry Avenue, according to MyNewsLA.
It’s unknown at this time what led up to the collision that left the driver and passenger from one of the vehicles dead at the scene. It’s unknown at this time if Sheldon Turchin was a driver or passenger in that vehicle.
Meanwhile, the second driver from the other vehicle survived with undisclosed injuries.
Tow trucks removed the badly damaged vehicles from the roadway.
There are no other details at this time, however, investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on Cherry Avenue in Signal Hill.
