Pedestrian Accident on I-280 Freeway at Cesar Chavez Blvd.
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (January 23, 2020) — A 36-year-old pedestrian identified as Shelly Murphy died Saturday night in a collision on the Interstate 280 Freeway in San Francisco.
The collision was reported at 8 p.m. Saturday, January 18th near the on-ramp from Cesar Chavez Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The woman was struck by a driver in a white Toyota Highlander in the far left southbound lane, police said. There were three other vehicles that collided, but it’s unknown what exactly happened at this time.
The crash remains under investigation by police to determine fault.
