
Deputy Injured in Commerce DUI Crash at Washington and Telegraph
COMMERCE, CA (March 28, 2023) – A sheriff’s deputy was injured after a DUI crash at Washington Boulevard and Telegraph Road in Commerce.
According to an article published by the KTLA News, the accident took place early Monday. Officers reported the wreck on March 27 at around 1:30 a.m.
The incident happened when a vehicle slammed into the car of a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy in Commerce. The two crashed at the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Telegraph Road.
2 Cars Collide
Both cars obtained major damage as a result of the collision. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the two parties involved hurt.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the deputy for the minor injuries they sustained in the accident. Officials rushed the other driver to a hospital with unknown injuries.
The report did not release the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, authorities determined that the motorist who hit the deputy was under the influence.
Officers forced the area of Washington Boulevard and Telegraph to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Commerce DUI crash is still under investigation.
