LONG BEACH, California (September 27, 2016) – A head-on crash on Paramount Boulevard early Tuesday seriously injured three people, including a Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy, according to Daily News.
The collision involving two vehicles was reported just after midnight.
As per the article, the Lakewood deputy was going south on Paramount Boulevard when a Toyota Camry headed north crossed over the center median. The two collided head-on, causing severe damage to the patrol car.
The deputy and a male arrestee were extricated from the vehicle. The two and the male driver of the Camry were taken to hospitals and were listed in serious condition.
Daily News affirmed that the deputy was transporting the man back to the Sheriff’s Lakewood station prior to the accident.
The incident is still under investigation.
