SHERMAN OAKS, California (June 9, 2016) — One person was found laying on the ground following a crash involving roughly six vehicles Thursday morning on the northbound 405 Freeway at Valley Vista Boulevard, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The crash took place about 7:50 a.m. today and was reported to the CHP after a witness saw a vehicle going across lanes and a lot of smoke in his rearview mirror. The vehicles involved included a gray Acura, a blue Nissan Murano and four other vehicles. The Los Angeles Fire Department sent paramedics to help one person who was serious injured.
The gray Acura with front-end damage was towed from the scene and all lanes reopened to traffic about an hour later.
The crash remains under investigation by police to determine liability.
