Driver of Minivan Killed in Crash with Big Rig Truck in Ontario
ONTARIO, Calif. (Sept. 16, 2021) — Shi X. Yu, 40, of Monterey Park, died in an Ontario crash with a big rig truck Monday at E. Guasti Road and Cleveland.
Additionally, the collision happened about 2:45 p.m. on Monday, September 13th, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.
A minivan driven by the Monterey Park man was heading westbound on Guasti Road when it collided with the side of a semi-truck. The truck had just pulled out of a driveway onto the roadway. Upon impact, the minivan overturned onto its side just west of Milliken Avenue.
Shi Yu Killed in Crash with Semi Truck
The Ontario Police Department responded to the Ontario crash scene where they located the driver of a minivan identified as Shi X. Yu. The motorist suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead on scene.
Meanwhile, investigators seek to determine fault for the crash. Witnesses may contact the Ontario Police Department.
