3 Injured in Traffic Collision on Interstate 5 Thursday
Shields, CA (June 24, 2021) – Three people suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Interstate 5 Freeway Thursday.
According to Your Central Valley, an elderly man was behind the wheel of a Subaru Forester traveling north on the freeway. In the area near Shields Avenue exit, the Subaru veered into the opposite lane.
Wrong-Way Driver Hits Motorcyclists in Shields Car Crash, June 24
Officials said the Subaru ended up collided heading into two motorcycle riders. The force from the impact ejected the motorcyclists onto the roadway. Per article published online, the man and woman both suffered serious injuries as a result of the wreck.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Subaru reportedly sustained minor injuries from the collision.
The names of all three parties injured in the crash remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
At this time, investigators continue to work to determine the precise cause of the car and motorcycle accident in Shields.
