2-Vehicle Crash on State Route 44 in Shingletown

SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. (Oct. 16, 2023)  – A two-vehicle Shingletown crash happened last night on Highway 44 in Shasta County.

The collision occurred near Mile Marker 23, just west of Shingleton, according to Action News Now.

The CHP responded to the scene and called for firefighters to respond after the collision set off a brush fire in the area. The fire was put out shortly afterwards.

Authorities closed down the road for a couple of hours.

Meanwhile, police are investigating the crash to determine fault.
