SIERRA CITY, Calif. (Aug. 3, 2023) — A two-vehicle Sierra City crash happened Friday at Dog Valley Road and Pass Creek Loop Road.
The collision occurred around 9:38 a.m. on August 4th, near the Jackson Meadows Reservoir, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The drivers of a white Toyota pickup truck with large tires and a tan or gold Toyota 4Runner SUV were involved. One of the vehicles would up in the trees on the shoulder and the other was blocking the roadway. It’s unknown what led up to the accident at this time.
Someone called 911 to report the crash and that an adult male in the SUV was unresponsive. Paramedics responded and transported one person to Tahoe Forest Hospital in Truckee with undisclosed injuries. The report didn’t specify if it was a driver or passenger.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles from the scene.
The case remains under investigation.
