JOSHUA TREE, Calif. (Oct. 18, 2022) — Sierra Scott, 34, was hospitalized with major injuries after a fatal solo-vehicle crash on Border Avenue in Joshua Tree.

The Joshua Tree crash occurred about 4:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12th, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.

Sierra Scott was traveling in a 2011 Lexus IS 350 whose driving lost control while traveling at high speed. The vehicle overturned multiple times and the driver identified as Loren M. Bull, 44, was ejected as he was not wearing a seatbelt, according to The Patch.

The man suffered major injuries and paramedics transported him to Hi Desert Medical Center where he later died.

Later, the San Bernardino County coroner’s office identified the Joshua Tree man.

Meanwhile, paramedics transported Sierra Scott to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs for treatment of major injuries, police said.

Authorities do not know if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.

Investigators continue to work on the case.
