Deceased Victim ID’d as Long Beach Woman, 68
The crash involving three cars occurred at about 11:42 a.m.
As per the article, Signal Hill Police Department said one of the three drivers, identified only as a 62-year-old Long Beach woman, died at the scene. Her name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
The two other motorists were taken to a local hospital with unspecified injuries.
Meanwhile, Cherry Avenue from 21st Street to Hill Street was closed for several hours following the wreck.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
