Mother Killed, Girl Injured in Pedestrian Collision
SAN JOSE, Calif. (March 28, 2023) — Silvia Solorio, 27, of Santa Clara, has been arrested on felony hit-and-run and vehicular manslaughter charges after a fatal crash Sunday night on Blossom Hill Road.
The suspect allegedly struck and killed Cao Limin, 45, of Los Gatos, and her dog, and left the deceased woman’s young daughter with undisclosed injuries, CBS News reported.
Police arrested the suspect Monday night after working tirelessly to locate the vehicle and its driver, the San Jose Police Department reported.

The driver reportedly struck the woman and child around 6:50 p.m. on March 26th as they walked their dog at the intersection of Blossom Hill Road and Leigh Avenue.
The Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office reported Cao Limin died at the scene.
The injured girl was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries, police said. Meanwhile, the family’s dog also died on scene.
Silvia Solorio was booked at Santa Clara County Main Jail. She is charged with felony vehicular manslaughter and felony hit-and-run. It’s unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol were involved, but the case remains under investigation.
