2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 118 Near Rocky Peak Road
LOCATION: Simi Valley
DATE OF COLLISION: Monday, October 29th
October 29, 2018 – Two vehicles collided Monday afternoon on Highway 118, according to Ventura County Star.
The accident happened at approximately 4:50 p.m.
Emergency personnel responded to the crash, near Rocky Peak Road, and found multiple parties involved in the accident. Officers said it was a minor collision but no additional details have been yet released.
Meanwhile, initial reports indicated paramedics were called in because someone at the scene apparently collapsed. That person was taken to the hospital for medical issues unrelated to the collision.
Further investigation on the case is underway.

California Highway Patrol will carry out a forensic examination of all the vehicles involved, as well as photos that were taken of the scene, will help investigators draw up a firm conclusion for what happened. Authorities will thoroughly look into how fast each driver was going, whether or not alcohol or drugs were involved, whether or not there were any mechanical issues with either vehicle, whether or not one of the drivers ran a red light or simply did not yield to the right of way motorist. The investigation will also consist of looking at measurements of evidence left by the vehicles such as point of impact, final resting positions of each vehicle, skid marks, and gouge marks.
