2 Injured in Simi Valley Crash on Eastbound Highway 118 Near Los Alamos
SIMI VALLEY, CA (July 1, 2021) – Two were hospitalized after a car crash on Highway 118 near Los Alamos Canyon Road in Simi Valley.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Wednesday. Officers reported the wreck on June 30 shortly after 5:30 p.m.
According to their dispatch team, six vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Simi Valley. They crashed in the eastbound lanes of Highway 118, just east of Los Alamos Canyon Road.
Multiple Cars Collide in Simi Valley
CHP described three cars involved as a GMC Sierra, a red Dodge Ram and a black Ford Explorer. The GMC obtained major rear-end damage while the Dodge came to a rest with major front-end damage.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found two people who ended up suffering from minor injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took both patients to the Los Robles Regional Medical Center for treatment. Officials did not release their names and condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced eastbound lanes of Highway 118 to shut down following the wreck. Authorities are still determining the cause of the Simi Valley crash.
