Rider Hospitalized After Collision at 1st Street and Los Angeles Avenue Friday
Simi Valley, CA (July 9, 2021) – A motorcycle rider suffered serious injuries following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of 1st Street and Los Angeles Avenue, the Ventura County Star reported.
On Friday, a motorcyclist collided with a Volkswagen Tiguan SUV at the Simi Valley intersection. Preliminary investigation revealed the 69-year-old rider just exited the driveway of the Shell gas station. The Arroyo Grande man came out of the gas station located at the southeast corner of the intersection.
The crash happened as the motorcyclist merged onto the northbound lanes of the roadway.

Shortly after 1:15 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the location and found the rider lying on the ground. Paramedics attended to the patient, then transferred him to Los Robles Medical Center in Thousand Oaks.
Meanwhile, the 17-year-old Simi resident driving the SUV appeared unharmed after the wreck.
Investigators continue to work to determine liability in the car and motorcycle accident in Simi Valley.
