SIMI VALLEY, California (March 28, 2016) — At least one person died when a car crashed over the side of the westbound Interstate 118 Ronald Reagan Freeway Monday morning near Sycamore Drive, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The fatal crash was reported about 10:08 a.m. by a driver who spotted the crash and called 911 to report it to the CHP. The Ventura County Fire Department and CHP officers responded to help those involved in the crash and the coroner was called due to at least one person succumbing to their injuries. It’s not clear how many people were hurt or if other vehicles were involved.
