Pedestrian Killed in Simi Valley Crash on Alamo Street
SIMI VALLEY, CA (November 15, 2022) – A crash killed a pedestrian along Alamo Street in the city of Simi Valley.
According to an article published by The Ventura County Star, the tragic accident took place on Tuesday evening. Officers reported the wreck at around 5:34 p.m.
Simi Valley police said the incident happened when a Ford F-150 struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason. The pickup truck hit him in the 2300 block of Alamo Street.
Man, 70, Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and soon found the 70-year-old Simi Valley man down on the ground. He sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital, where he died. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police added that the Simi Valley man in his 50s driving the pickup stopped and stayed at the site following the pedestrian accident.
Officers forced a stretch of Alamo Street to shut down for a time after the incident. The cause of the fatal crash is still under investigation.
