Motorcyclist Injured in Crash on State Route 118
SIMI VALLEY, Calif. (Oct. 10, 2023) — A motorcycle accident happened on the Ronald Reagan 118 Freeway on Tuesday morning, just west of Madera Drive.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 8:49 a.m. on Oct. 10th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the driver of a white Mazda and the motorcyclist we traveling westbound on State Route 118. The Mazda reportedly changed lanes and collided with the motorcycle. The Mazda driver told authorities that “he didn’t see him (motorcycle rider),” because the “motorcycle was lane splitting,” the report said.
The rider went down in the No. 1 lane of the 118 Freeway.
Paramedics responded to help the injured rider, but there are no further details at this time.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the motorcycle accident on the 118 Freeway.
