Saai Salazar Martinez, 23, Arrested on DUI, Hit-and-run Charges
VICTORVILLE, Calif. (Dec. 3, 2024) — Saai Salazar Martinez, 23, of Victorville, was arrested on DUI and hit-and-run charges after a car accident left six people injured in Victorville.
The traffic accident occurred around 2:25 p.m. on Friday, November 29th, at the intersection of Del Gado Road and Dos Palmas, according to Victor Valley News Group.
The vehicles involved included a blue Ford X-Max, a white Toyota Corolla, and a black Kia Telluride, the report said.
The young man driving the Ford reportedly left his injured passenger trapped in the vehicle. He ran from the scene and he was picked up by another vehicle, the report said.
Paramedics responded and transported six people in four ambulances to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Investigators located the suspect near the intersection of Luna and Cahuenga Roads.
Saai Salazar Martinez was arrested and charged with hit-and-run causing injury, DUI alcohol causing great bodily injury, and driving on a suspended license.
The suspect is being held in lieu of $310,000 bail and is scheduled in court on December 3, 2024.
The California Highway Patrol Victorville Station is heading up the investigation.
