Six-Vehicle Crash on 134 Freeway, Brand Boulevard in Glendale
Glendale Collision Snarls Traffic, Sends One to Hospital
GLENDALE, Calif. (June 2, 2025) — A six-vehicle collision on the westbound 134 Freeway near North Brand Boulevard caused major traffic delays Monday morning and left at least one person injured, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 10:52 a.m. on June 2nd and involved multiple vehicles, including a white Jeep Compass, a Toyota SUV, a white Volkswagen, and several other vehicles. Initial reports indicated that at least two vehicles were facing the wrong way and blocking the HOV and #1 lanes.
Paramedics On Scene of Crash on 134 Freeway
Emergency responders arrived quickly, with Glendale Fire Department units dispatched to the scene. One older male driver was reported to have a head injury, and at least one person was seen lying on the ground. Airbags were deployed in several vehicles, and parties were observed walking in the lanes.
The California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert for the area due to lane blockages, and tow trucks were requested for multiple heavily damaged vehicles. All lanes were reopened and the SigAlert was canceled by 11:55 a.m.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. No fatalities were reported as of the latest update.
