Woman Riding Skateboard Dies in Hit-and-Run in Tarzana
TARZANA, Calif. (Sept. 14, 2021) – A skateboarder killed in al Tarzana hit-and-run crash early Tuesday morning is described as a woman in her 30s.
UPDATE: The Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner released the name of the skateboard rider as Paris Camille Banks, 31.
The deadly pedestrian accident happened about 12:30 a.m. at Tampa Avenue and Oxnard Street.
Police are searching for a hit-and-run motorist who struck and killed the woman on Tuesday, Sept. 14th, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Sadly, the woman died at the intersection where the collision took place. The Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner will release her identity after notifying relatives.
The Los Angeles Police Department and coroner later released the victim’s name as Paris Camille Banks.
However, authorities are looking for the suspect driving a silver 2013-2018 Toyota Avalon, the LAPD said.
Meanwhile, the woman who died was not in a crosswalk, police said. Additionally, witnesses or anyone with information about the collision, may call 877-LAPD-247.
Also, there is a standing reward of up to $50,000 offered by the city of Los Angeles for information that helps police solve a fatal hit and run. Tips may be shared with LAPD Valley
