Skateboarder Suffers Severe Head Trauma
PACIFIC BEACH, San Diego County (July 19, 2016) – A 22-year-old skateboarder suffered major trauma as a result of being hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Ingraham and Felspar streets, according to an article by CBS 8.
The accident occurred on July 18, Monday shortly after 7:00 p.m.
In detail, the article mentioned a man attempted to cross the streets riding on a skateboard. Then suddenly, the man was struck by an oncoming Toyota Prius. The force from the crash resulted in the skateboarder overthrown a few feet away from the point of collision. The impact caused the man to suffer in grave head injuries. He was taken to a hospital and was listed in critical condition. As per the article, an officer affirmed the skateboarder’s head trauma is “non-survivable”.
