Slobodan Vasovic, 65, Killed in Adelanto Crash at Highway 395 and Holly Road
ADELANTO, CA (May 30, 2o21) – A car crash at Highway 395 and Holly Road killed Slobodan Vasovic in Adelanto.
The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office identified the 65-year-old Adelanto man as one of the two deceased victims in the wreck.
The incident happened on Saturday afternoon when Slobodan Vasovic was driving a white 2006 GMC Sierra pickup truck in Adelanto.
For an unknown reason, his car collided with a gold-colored 2002 Toyota Camry. The two vehicles crashed on Highway 395 at Holly Road.
Boy, 6, Dies in Car Collision
Paramedics arrived and then pronounced Slobodan Vasovic dead at the scene. Firefighters extricated two occupants of the Toyota who ended up trapped in the wreckage.
The rescued parties and a 6-year-old boy in the backseat of the Camry sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision. They were listed in critical condition.
Medical personnel rushed the child to the Victor Valley Global Medical Center, where he died. Victor Valley News wrote that the accident occurred on May 29 at about 2:25 p.m.
Meanwhile, officers soon shut down both directions of Highway 395 between Cactus Road and Rancho Road following the wreck. It took place near the Adelanto Stadium.
The cause of the fatal Adelanto crash is still under investigation.
