Major Injury 2-Vehicle Crash on State Route Highway 16
SLOUGHHOUSE, Calif. (June 17, 2024) — A head-on crash in Sloughhouse happened Monday on Jackson Road or State Route 16, just west of Dillard Road.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 7:11 a.m. on June 17th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a red Ford Explorer SUV and a white minivan were involved. The minivan went down an embankment on the north side of the highway and sustained major front-end damage and the SUV was blocking westbound traffic lanes, the report said.
The Sacramento Fire Department sent paramedics and firefighters to help those injured and they transported one male patient from the minivan with major injuries to Kaiser South Sacramento Medical Center. The victim’s age and identity were not released.
Also, tow trucks removed the vehicles and debris from the roadway.
Finally, investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on Jackson Road in Sloughhouse.
